KSBDC works with small businesses to help them compete and grow in today’s highly competitive global economy. Eight regional centers and two outreach centers combine the resources of a professional staff, the state’s best education institutions, the private sector, and government.

KSBDC provides the high quality, one-on-one business management counseling, education programs and practical information that enables small businesses to effectively compete in today’s market.

Any existing small business or individual interested in starting a business may receive assistance. There is no cost, however, a small fee may be charged for training courses and the new Small Biz Tune Up program.

Your doctor recommends that you receive annual exams to ensure you are in good health. But how do you examine the health of your business?

The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce and the Washburn University Small Business Development Center offers a confidential analysis of your business. This program will provide you with a report on the health of your business.

The confidential report will include a comparison of your financial statements to industry standards, a review of your market share in the industry, and the results from an employee questionnaire, and secret shopper exam.
