We have promoted Daryn Soldan to the role of Executive Vice President of the Chamber in addition to his duties as Director of Economic Development. This had been a role held previously by Karen Hibbard, who held the executive vice president role along with serving as director of Visit Manhattan. The EVP is responsible for some operational duties and leads the office in the President’s absence. Daryn is incredibly qualified to take over this role Karen held for so many years and I am grateful he accepted it.
Brenda Hoefler has been named Sr. Vice President of Operations. Brenda is the glue that holds our organization together, serving in her current role for over 25 years. She manages facilities, human resources and finances, among other duties she’s willing to take on for the Chamber. Her leadership in our recent Five-Star Accreditation was incredible and I appreciate all she has done for me during my time here.
Kara Wray was promoted to Communications Manager. Kara has been with us for three years in a variety of roles and has proven herself to be an outstanding team member and contributor.
We are incredibly fortunate to have a great team here at the Chamber and we look forward to continuing to find ways to be more effective in making Manhattan a preferred destination to live, work, play and raise a family.
