[ARCHIVED] Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce names Tracy Anderson as C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year at a

The Chamber’s volunteer of the year award honors C. Clyde Jones, a 60-year Manhattan resident who served as first dean of Kansas State University’s College of Business. Jones has a long-running record of community service activity in Manhattan, to include Shepherd’s Crossing.

Anderson is the 33rd recipient of the C. Clyde Jones Volunteer of the Year award. 
 
Tracy Anderson has done so much for the community volunteering his time and also his talent.  He has created renderings for several parts of our community that help create the vision and also spur some creative thinking by the community. His efforts can also be seen in the new indoor aquatic facility that is currently in the planning stage.  
 
Anderson led the chambers effort to raise money for the Riley County economic development sales tax which passed by 60 percent Also, he served on the steering committee in 2021 for Advantage Manhattan 5, Manhattan’s private sector economic development funding program. Anderson serves on the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In addition to Chamber projects, Anderson has worked on several community projects including helping with the current aquatic center study, volunteering significant time and professional expertise on the project.  

Tracy has been married to Barbee for 27 years and they have a son Shawn 19 and a daughter Amelia 15.   Tracy is a graduate of KSU in 1989 with a degree in Architecture.  Dan and Tracy started Anderson Knight Architects in 2002.  Tracy is a 2008 graduate of the Leadership Manhattan program.
