We developed our Made for Manhattan brand and collaterals to help our local human resource professionals promote the community. We also send representatives to career fairs over a multi-state area where we promote local job opportunities to individuals of all skills.
Next week is another effort to help connect employers to talent. The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with KansasWorks for the "Build a Better Kansas" job fair, March 22 at the Manhattan Conference Center. The event is focused on construction, manufacturing, production, CDL drivers and other skilled trade jobs.
The main segment of the job fair will be from Noon to 7 p.m. There will be an additional segment at 10 a.m. for high school students interested in internships and fulltime jobs upon graduation.
There is still time to register if you are an employer looking to connect with local talent. You can register on the Chamber website.
We have over 20 businesses registered already and look forward to helping connect people to job opportunities.
