Our local delegation will give their thoughts on what has transpired so far when we hold a Legislative Coffee on Saturday. The event is scheduled at 7:30 a.m. Please note that this year's event will be held at 1880 Kimball, at the Kansas State Office Park. The majority of the Manhattan delegation has indicated they plan to attend. AT&T is once again sponsoring our coffee.
There are a number of key issues that passed when things wrapped up on April 1, including the budget and redistricting. The body will come back together on April 25 for the veto session. Several items will be in front of legislators, including tax issues.
The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to hold these events, which are open to the public. It is important for us to connect with our state representatives and hear about key issues that impact the Manhattan region.
